Based on dimensions I’ve compared between this D-K reproduction part and a known original G43/MP44 sight hood, I would say these are virtually identical in every respect. Comparable to an original in thickness, shape, length and height. My known original hood dimensions are 23.8mm h/1.25mm thickness 20mm long whereas the hood purchased here measures 24.2mm/1.25mm/20mm. Material & finish appear identical. Other reportedly “European” reproduction hoods measure 22.5mm/1.14mm/20.9mm on average. These D-K hoods are as good as it gets, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn they were original German surplus!
